Parent Teacher Fellowship Meeting – February 23, 2010
Meeting started with Coffee and Dessert and a time of fellowship
49 adults ( staff and families) were present for the meeting
At 7:15 – Joe Sanelli introduced the Upper School Gold Rush Productions Video (10 mins)
At the conclusion of the film, Michelle Lingle lead the Ice Breaker game “ Getting to Know You” (game attached) Answers : Eakin, Boyle, Cave, Swartz, Grimm, Kobzowicz, Wright, Herman, Foose, Lingle, Hake, Miller, Stucky, McClymont, Neff
At 7:35 Joe Sanelli welcomed everyone with a word of prayer
Joe Sanelli presented an overview of the Parent Teacher Fellowship and its role in the school
· Promote Fellowship- in a way that is of a benefit to the school and the teachers
· Serve the school and community
· Solicit volunteers for the efforts/events of the school inside and outside the classroom
· Prayer partners for the school
· Potentially taking on a project for the school annually (gave examples from past schools like the playground, kitchen, stage lighting and curtains)
Joe Sanelli talked about fellowship items that are already in the works at the school
· Vittle Moot
· Dads and Donuts
· Roller skating plans
· Dinners out at local restaurants
Joe Sanelli introduced Jesse Hake. Jesse discussed the new blog for the school – launched the Plunder Pile, free blog site. Jesse answered questions about the blog.
Joe Sanelli introduced Mary Kelly, the President of the first Parent Teacher Fellowship at Covenant Christian Academy.
Mary Kelly greeted everyone and shared her vision for the PTF.
Mary Kelly indicated the following upcoming fellowship events
· Dads and Donuts would be on March 17th at 7:30 am
· Roller Skating at the Olympic on April 5th
Mary Kelly announced the annual project would be the kitchen at the school.
