Scholarships and Financial Aid

CCA families benefit from three financial assistance funds. Last year over $150,000 was distributed to CCA families.  Please note that parents may not apply to these funds until they have made application to CCA and been accepted and registered into the school.  In order to meet deadlines set by these funds, interested parents should make application to the school by March in a given year.  The three funds that provide financial aid to CCA are listed below.

The South Central Educational Partnership (SCEP):

    Deadline for Application: April 15.

The Classical School Fund (formerly the PCCSSF):

Deadline for Application: April 30.  To learn more you can visit the website of the Classical School Foundation.

The Student-Parent Tuition Expense Partnership (STEP).

Applications to all three of these funds/organizations are available in the school office.  Applications to the first two funds (SCEP and CSF) are given to families automatically upon acceptance and enrollment into the school.  Applications for the STEP fund are made available upon request only.

    Businesses Donate Funds Easily:

The first two funds are administered under the guidelines set by the Pennsylvania State legislature under legislation commonly called Educational Tuition Tax Credits.  This legislation allows businesses to donate state tax money to a qualified fund (like the SCEP and the CSF) and receive a 90% credit in lieu of paying state taxes.  The process of making the donation is quite easy (a one page form).  We encourage businesses to contact the CCA's Development Office, if interested in learning more about this and to visit the "Business Donations" page on this site.  We will be happy to send you relevant literature and refer you to other businesses which have made donations.

    Middle Income Families Qualify:

Under the state legislation, even families with mid-level income qualify for financial aid. The guidelines specify that families will qualify if their income is $90,000 or less with four children; $80,000 or less with three children; $70,000 or less with two children; $60,000 or less with one child.  Over 40 families per year at CCA have qualifed for and received funds from one of these two organizations (SCEP and the CSF).
